I pulled Angel from an Edison, NJ shelter
back on the 14th of August. She came in as a stray and had done her 7
day rabies quarantine. She has been neglected and abused, just a mere 79
lb. when we took her to the Vet. She has Round, Whip, and Hook worms in
addition to a skin condition that was later diagnosed as just a staph
infection. She was tested negative for Demodex, Heartworm and Ringworm.
Gina has named her Angel because she is just so sweet. Her ears are
also large and floppy which resemble wings, LOL. We are guessing she's
about 14-16 months old. She loves Tonka like a big brother, she bumps
into him while on our walks, she lays with him on his bed, they have
daily wrestling matches, its so nice to see her enjoy his company. She
is leery of strange noises, clapping, sudden movements. She does not
like you to come at her with the leash in hand; someone did a good
number on her to scare her but she shows no aggression whatsoever. She
loves her crate, she finds it to be her safe house, she loves her toys,
bones, ropes and treats. There is no food aggression or toy aggression,
she has fit in so well, and we adore her. It will be rewarding to see
her make a full recovery. She has not smiled yet but lots of tail wags
thus far.
Angel now resides with Gina and I and Tonka too!
