Clay was a stray picked up
by the Durham County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. His foster home,
Heather Kilby & fiancé Lucas Sanchez have adopted him. Clay has really
been doing very well compared to when he first went to his foster; he
was very underweight, had round, hook & whip worms, was around 75 lb. &
had a puncture wound that was severely infected w/ a fever; he was also
being treated for Kennel cough that he picked up at the shelter. Once in
his foster home Lucas & Heather noticed that he was bumping into things
& seemed to have a problem with his night vision & was afraid of the
dark. When he was taken to the vet for his neutering & micro chipping,
they did some testing & told the foster it was PRA. Clay has adjusted
very well to his new home; he is very aware of his surroundings but
still bumps into things every now & then! He loves kids & puppies &
other dogs too! He’ll let them crawl & snuggle all over him! His foster
home also rescued & adopted a Neo & he & Clay have become best buddies!
His weight is up to about 138 lbs. now! |
