Fiona is very much a part of our family. She
lives in Austin with her two "siblings," who she spends countless hours
wrestling, playing tug-of-war and taking naps. I amazed at what a little
nurturing and TLC can accomplish with an animal that was so mistreated
for the majority of its life. When we got Fi she was food aggressive and
not great with our other dogs because she had been neglected, starved
and was not socialized. Within a few weeks she had completely readjusted
and no longer showed any signs of aggression; she still eats most of the
food but she happily shares with anyone that can get to the bowl before
she has cleaned it out completely. She loves to go to the dog park and
has become quite the socialite; she has never met a soul who did not
immediately fall in love with her. I admit we have spoiled her quite
rotten but it is well deserved. She is a great confidant, companion and
cuddler. We know that her time will be somewhat limited by her heart
condition but she is now very healthy and active all considered. She has
been with us just over a year now and I can't tell you how much she has
added to our lives. We would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone
that has offered their support, suggestions and well wishes for Fi over
the past year.
Best wishes,
