Gabby was found on PetFinder and
brought to our attention. She was located in a North Jersey animal
shelter. She seemed perfectly healthy besides the normal underweight and
a cyst-like growth that was drained and she was taking Baytril for. It
was reported that she was a stray brought in by an unknown person.
However, the people at the shelter believe she was an owner turn-in
because of the bond she seemed to have with this so-called unknown
person. But, it doesn't matter really. After contacting the shelter
Andrea picked her up on the Monday before our National. She was already
spayed by the shelter and given the minimum vaccinations needed. Andrea
fostered her at her home and with the help of Pete Kanakis she was
transported to the National where her fosters Gina & Eric from Missouri
took her home for evaluation. She has since been adopted by a wonderful
family in TN. She resides with her new forever mom & dad and a big
brother-like Bullmastiff named "Boz."
Her mom writes "Here is a new pic of Gabby and Boz. They have become
great buddies. Gabby has managed to make Boz more active with her
playfulness. She has become my shadow. She has truly become a wonderful
part of our family. She is the most loving dog. There is no way I could
have raised this dog from a puppy to fit into our family any better. She
is just truly a gift to us. I want to thank you and all the other
members of the rescue for the time and effort you gave to Gabby. I
especially want to thank Eric and his family for fostering Gabby. They
did a wonderful job and have been very helpful.
Even newer pic: "We are Alabama fans.........and every year we have a
TN/ALA party. Some joker of a friend thought they would tie a UT bandana
around Gabby.......(grin) she's such a good girl.......she ripped it to
shreds!!!!!!(grin)."
