Jake was purchased in
January of 1999 - a month before he was born, by a NJ woman from a well
known name in Dogue de Bordeaux breeding. He was purchased without any
contract or spay neuter agreement. His mom and dad in NJ got divorced
and Jake went to live with a friend. This person had a presa canario
that hated Jake and Jake was forced to live in a crate 20 hours a day.
Eventually they contacted the DDBS. Jake went to a NJ foster home where
he has been adopted, by a family that was interested in a puppy. He had
severe demodex manage and was grossly underweight. With his new family,
Cheryl & Lou Qualenberg, he has been brought back to good health, great
body weight. He went from 93 to 110 lbs in a month, he has most of his
hair back. Jake's breeder was informed of Jake being in rescue, his
previous owners refused to have Jake sent back to his breeder, and would
not surrender him if the club had intentions of sending him back. To
date the club has spent over $200 on Jakes care with no financial
support from his breeder. Many Thanks go to Lou and Cheryl, Tom, Jean
Burns, and Bev & Charlie. |
