Kong came from a NJ animal
shelter skinny with numerous cysts and generalized demodex mange (see
pics 4/17). It was approximated that he was very young perhaps 13-15
months. He made good progress his first month in DDBS foster yet at the
same time new developments started to occur. In the pics for 5/15 you
can see the sebaceous cyst that was diagnosed on his side, he had a
similar one much smaller on his neck under his ear. Also in the pics for
5/15 you can see the progression of the cyst under his neck that was
entangling itself with the neck's muscle tissue. He underwent surgery to
remove the cyst under his chin, in his neck, on his side in addition to
being neutered at the same time. T Since his operations he has made
incredible leaps and bounds of recovery (see the pic 6/18 with his
foster-adoptive Mom). He actually has a more than a peach fuzz on all
parts previously affected by the mange. And most of all,
HE IS HAPPY! Kong is now in his permanent
home with his foster family, playing with his bulldog and Bordeaux
buddies. |
