Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

In Loving Memory Of Duke

This field was one of Duke's favorite places. He always looked forward to his runs and would "buck like a bronco" with excitement whenever I asked him "Do you want to go up to the field?" Michelle & I have many fond memories of him from there. He will always be missed but never far from our thoughts and hearts.

Markie the Massive Mastiff

You were the reason Cinnamon the rescue dogue stayed with us and allowed me the privilege of knowing this wonderful breed. Even though you were twice her size, you were her shadow. Now your with my son David but both of you took such a large piece of me when you left. I miss you more than you will ever know.

A ThankYou to Maisey

Things happen for a reason,
Although the first year of your life was unforgiving,
We rescued you and made your life worth living.

You showed us that love perseveres through all your fear,
By allowing us to restore life’s cares.
With the love and trust you gave to us,
We feel like we could never love you enough.

Your wants and needs were so simple and true
We will never forget the nudges from you.
The time you gave to us made us believe
That the memory you left with us will never leave.

I am thinking you are in a better place,
Although the emptiness you have left in our hearts can never be replaced.

We thank you for the last few years, with the hope the angel’s wings
On which you fly,
Will cradle you in peace and warmth from up on high.

10/07/98 – 01/16/05

You always welcomed every Dogue in with a wagging tail and a big smile, even when they bit you. You always let them in your bed, even when they pushed you out of it. You gave them all your toys and even showed some how to play with them. You showed them how to run and play and what it was to just be a dog. You showed them they didn’t have to be afraid. When they were all better and ready, you sent them off to their new homes to make room for another to come, one that needed it’s spirit fixed. You were a wise, gentle soul and you will always be remembered. I miss you big guy.

To Our Wrinkle Monster Jerry
1994-2001

Jerry our boy, today we are sad old boy you have gone and we miss you so much! You were our sweet rescue boy who came into our life and touched us forever with your wrinkles and love. Oh how we long to hold you again to hug you and kiss you and rub your big Bordeaux lips. Our red wrinkle monster, how we wish we could have helped the growing pain that finally became too much. The sadness that day as we drove to the vet, they loved you too dear boy, and helped you to go. Now you have left your red wrinkled paw print deep in our hearts, you’re always within us in memories and thoughts. We’re left to love you and remember with each passing day the joy you have brought us our dear sweet red boy.
