To volunteer
for DDBSA Rescue, you must be at least 21 years old
As a volunteer of
Dogue de Bordeaux Society of America Rescue, Inc., (DDBSA Rescue), I
give my pledge and promise to abide by the policies of this
organization (including, but not limited to, the Standard Operating
Procedures, and By-Laws) and to conduct myself in a professional,
courteous and ethical manner at all times to other members of the
organization as well as in any capacity where I associate myself
with DDBSA Rescue. If I am involved in rescue activities that
involve dogues de bordeaux in any way, I will immediately advise the
DDBSA Rescue Board of Directors as to the nature of my involvement
to assure compliance with DDBSA Rescue Policies and Procedures as
well as to assure there is not a conflict of interest. I will
promote the ethical treatment of animals and responsible pet
ownership according to the guidelines within the policies of DDBSA
Rescue. I understand I will receive descriptions of duties
appropriate to the tasks I am volunteering for and agree to follow
those guidelines at all times. I also understand that I will undergo
the same investigation that is required of any adoptive applicant
when they have requested to adopt one of DDBSA Rescue rescued
dogues. After my application to volunteer has been approved, I will
maintain regular contact with the DDBSA Rescue Board of Directors
and work under the direction of any mentor or committee chairperson
to which I am assigned. By completing this form, I understand that
my volunteer ship may be revoked at any time if I am found to have
reneged on this pledge in any way. I agree to perform all assigned
duties and turn in all paperwork in a timely manner and will
maintain appropriate records as needed.

as a Home Visit just like our adoption applicants before we
“approve” you for volunteering/fostering. This will help
familiarize you with the process so you may share it with
potential adoptive families, and will also “pre-approve” you in
case you ever decide to adopt a rescue as well! *
You will be notified by email
once you are an approved member and will be added to the
